netbsd 4.0- IP is not save after reboot

Hi
I'm using VMWARE verion of netbsd 4.0 and I'm setting a static IP.
but after each time I reboot the machine the IP is not being saved and I have to do all the procedure of setting the network parmaters again

does any one has any idea

How are you setting the IP?

did you add the configuration info to /etc/rc.conf?
