Suppose one comes to this site from, say, the VMWare virtual appliance directory, and one clicks on the download link for the Fedora 8 image. This causes the browser to download something largish named "Fedora-8.7z". What exactly is this? It doesn't appear to be compressed with either zip, bzip or gzip + tar.

A bit of searching on Google finds the 7-zip site (http://www.7-zip.org/). A bit of boilerplate at the bottom of announcement posts on the site might be helpful to those of us who aren't avid compression tech followers.
